Terms of Service — Move Like Ninjas™

Service Region: Arizona Intrastate

1. Overview

Move Like Ninjas™ provides moving, labor and handling services within the state of Arizona. By booking a service, paying a deposit, communicating with us, or otherwise using our website or scheduling system, you agree to these Terms of Service.

These Terms govern all transactions, including deposits, pricing, scheduling, job performance, mileage charges, customer responsibilities, damage liability, add-ons and billing.

2. Booking, Deposits & Payment Terms

All jobs require payment prior to service commencement.

  • Any amount paid before completion is considered a non-refundable deposit.
  • Deposits are deducted from the final total, not added.
  • Remaining balance must be paid immediately upon completion of the move/walkthrough.
  • No refunds are provided for deposits or services once paid.

If a customer cancels, arrives unprepared, misrepresents the job, or the environment is unsafe, unsanitary or inaccessible, Move Like Ninjas™ may refuse or halt service without refund.

Invoices may be sent for both deposits and final payments when required.

3. Pricing, Mileage, Travel Fees & Taxes

Pricing is governed by the posted Tariff / Pricing Page.
Customer agrees to all rates at time of booking.

Taxes:

Arizona Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) is charged in addition to certain service rates and is collected & remitted by Move Like Ninjas™.

Mileage is one-way (A→Z and everything in between), never round-trip charged.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure safe, legal and efficient service, customer is responsible for:

  • Clear & safe walking paths
  • Parking & building access
  • Stairs disclosure
  • Items removed from drawers
  • Water/gas disconnected when required
  • Pets & children secured away from workers
  • Honest inventory, photos & weight disclosure
  • Clean, safe work environment

Failure to meet conditions may result in cancellation with no refund of deposit.

5. Weight Restrictions & Prohibited Items

No single item may exceed 400 lbs for two movers.
No load exceeding 800 lbs.

We do not handle:

  • Pianos
  • Pool tables
  • Hot tubs
  • Firearms / ammo
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Flammables
  • Engines
  • Explosives
  • Live plants or animals
  • Prescription drugs or controlled substances
  • Rare/collectible valuables not declared (jewelry, art)
  • Documents like passports, social security cards, birth certificates
  • Anything exceeding 800 lbs

6. Damage & Liability

Move Like Ninjas™ provides valuation — not insurance.

Included coverage: $0.60/lb up to $50,000
Optional upgrade: $2.25/lb up to $50,000 — $50 one-time charge

Claims must be filed within 24 hours of service completion.

Repair-first policy:

  1. We attempt repair or contracted restoration
  2. If repair fails, payout is based on declared valuation tier

We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage, structural weakness, particle board
  • Customer-packed boxes
  • Electronics internal damage unless visibly caused by negligence
  • Items over disclosed weight limit
  • Situations caused by customer unpreparedness

7. Scheduling, Start Windows & Add-Ons

  • Jobs must be booked between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Same-day bookings require minimum 4 hours notice
  • After-hours start (4–8AM or 4–8PM): +$99
  • Night start (8PM–4AM): 2x base rate

Company may reschedule due to unsafe conditions, weather, access limitations or misrepresentation.

8. Third-Party Tools, Subcontractors & Website Use

Website features, Shopify tools, and scheduling systems may involve third-party connections. Use is at customer’s risk. We are not responsible for outages, hosting errors, or third-party processing failures.

Intellectual property including brand, media and graphics belong to Move Like Ninjas™. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.

9. Indemnity, Liability & Legal Enforcement

Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Move Like Ninjas™ from claims arising from:

  • Job site conditions
  • Unsafe environments
  • Misrepresentation of inventory or weight
  • Improper packaging by customer
  • Delays beyond our control

Arizona law governs all disputes.
