Damage, Loss & Liability Policy

Effective Date: 11/2025
Applies to all services provided by Move Like Ninjas™ within Arizona.

1. Valuation (Not Insurance)

Move Like Ninjas™ provides valuation coverage — not consumer insurance.
Valuation determines the maximum compensation for loss or damage.

Premium Valuation $50 $2.25 per lb $50,000

Coverage applies only to items we handle directly.

2. Damage Reporting Deadline

To file a claim, customer must notify Move Like Ninjas™ within 24 hours of service completion and provide:

📸 Photos of damage
📄 Item description + weight estimate
🗒️ Summary of condition before & after
📍 Location where damage occurred
📎 Proof if premium valuation was purchased

Claims submitted late, without proof, or without required info are automatically denied.

3. Repair-First Requirement

We do not issue monetary payouts before attempting repair.

If damage is confirmed and attributable to mover negligence:

  1. Repair or restoration is attempted first
  2. If repair is not possible → valuation payout applies
  3. Payout is limited to valuation amount (not replacement retail value)

No refunds or service fee reversals are issued as compensation.

4. What Is & Isn’t Covered

✔ Covered When Proven Due to Gross Negligence

  • Dropped items
  • Ripped or torn upholstery
  • Major dents/scratches caused by improper handling
  • Damage clearly caused by crew action

❗ Not Covered Under Any Condition

  • Pre-existing damage or loose structural build
  • Particle board or compressed wood failure
  • Customer-packed boxes (unknown internal conditions)
  • Electronics with no external visible damage
  • Untaped/poorly packed items
  • Damage from improper furniture design or weight imbalance
  • Items over declared weight limit

If an item breaks because it is weak, old, unstable, poorly assembled, cheap material or overweight — liability does not apply.

5. High-Risk Item Waiver

Customer understands transport of the following is at owner risk:

  • Glass/fragile furniture panels
  • Mirrors without solid protection
  • Large TVs not factory packaged
  • Antiques, art, collectibles
  • Musical instruments
  • Stone, marble, granite pieces

We recommend owner-transport for irreplaceable or sensitive items.

6. Weight Limits & Non-Movable Items

No item over 400 lbs for a standard 2-man crew
No load over 800 lbs total

We do not move:

  • Firearms/ammunition
  • Hazardous/flammable materials
  • Live animals or plants
  • Jewelry, cash, documents (birth certificates, SS cards, passports)
  • Meds or controlled substances

Customer must disclose item weights and building access conditions in advance.

7. Customer Responsibility During Move

Customer must:

  • Keep children/pets away from work areas
  • Provide safe pathways, clear access, and parking
  • Remove loose drawers, shelves, and fragile components
  • Disconnect utilities before appliance handling

Refusal to follow safety guidelines voids liability coverage.

8. Final Decision Authority

Move Like Ninjas™ has sole discretion to approve or deny claims based on:

  • Evidence
  • Weight
  • Condition reports
  • Photo review
  • Staff reports
  • Customer compliance with terms

Our liability cannot exceed valuation coverage amount.

9. Agreement to Terms

By hiring Move Like Ninjas™, paying a deposit, or receiving service —
Customer acknowledges acceptance of this entire policy.
